We're proud of our positive contributions to the Akron area. The philosophy of community reinvestment was expanded in 1985 when Stewart & Calhoun began awarding annual book scholarships to two students at every Akron Public High School. To date Stewart & Calhoun has given away over $65,000 to deserving area high school seniors.

Furthermore, both Mr. Stewart and Calhoun have volunteered their time at area schools by speaking to many classes and conducting field trips to the funeral home. In addition, they were very active in the Summit County Funeral Director’s Association, both serving terms as president.
