Vester L. Horton 80, passed away February 8, 2010.  She was born on December 12, 1929 to the union of James and Beatrice Cleveland.  She attended Wintergreen Ledges and St. Timothy Baptist Church until her health failed her.  She worked for DeMerit Nursing Home and Little Forrest Nursing Home for over 10 years.

Vester was preceded in death by husband, Eddie L. Horton; sons, Frazer Trevillion, Clarence Horton, Charles Horton, and Theotis Fitts; daughter, Christine Glass; and granddaughter, Sherita Horton.  She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Eddie (Pandora) Horton and Robert (Trinka) Smith, Gary (Patricia) Horton, and Perry  (Patricia) Horton; daughters, Ilean (Tommy) Mayfield and LaShawn Trevillion, Rita Horton, Carolyn Horton, Felicia Price, Harriett (George) Thompkins, and Melody (Alonzo) King; nineteen grandchildren; forty eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; special friends, Frazier (Willie) Trevillion, Jackie Chislom and family, Fortson family, and Eddie Scott; and host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, OH 44307.  Pastor Norman James officiating.  Friends may call at the chapel from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
