Rosanna “Skipper” Blanchard went home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2010.  She was born in Tallassee, Alabama  to the late Susie and Buford Skipper.   She worked her entire life and retired from Ridgewood Nursing Home.  She was a native of Akron, OH for 45 years.

She was preceded in death by brother, Arthur Skipper and sister, Bettye Johnson.  She is survived by son, Derek Arrington; daughter, Twyla Blanchard; 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and long time friend, Terry McCranney.

Services will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, OH  44307, Pastor Michael Martin, officiating.  Friends may visit at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.  Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 349 Archwood, Akron 44301.
