Philip Thomas Cobb 62, “Mr. Cobb” passed away suddenly.  He served the community as a “Barber” for over 25 years.  Philip was born in Akron, Ohio to the parents of Ernest Caldwell and the late Kay Francis Cobb.

Philip was preceded in death by his sister, Anita Mitchell (Cobb); grandmother/mother, Gladys Cobb; and nephew, Brent Mitchell.  He is survived and loved by long time companion, Gloria Jones; daughter, Latonia (Ramote) McCombs; son, Philip Cobb, Jr.; special niece, Tonya Mitchell (James); nephew, Antonio Mitchell; grandchildren; great nieces and nephews; special friend, Felton Shropshire and Lisa Rackley

Services will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, OH 44307.  Minister Billy McWain officiating.  Friends may call at the chapel from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.  Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 783 Chalker St. Akron, OH 44310.
