Nathaniel “Nay” MacDonald passed away peacefully on April 26, 2010 at Wyant Woods Care Facility.  Nay was born to the union of Will and Mamie McDonald on July 8, 1919 in Retton Alabama. 

Nay served in World War II from 1944 to 1946 after which he was honorably discharged.  Nay held many construction jobs last being employed by Carter Jones Lumber.

Nay leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Hazel; daughters Patricia Skipper and Gladys Butler (both of Akron); special son-in-law John Skipper (Akron); 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.  He also leaves his cousin, Addie Appleton.

The family will receive family and friends from 11:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 1, 2010.  Funeral services will be conducted at noon.  Interment will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.  Interment procession will form at 9:15 a.m. at Stewart and Calhoun Funeral Home.
