Lenora M. Alexander, 85 passed away June 28, 2009 peacefully after a long illness surrounded by her loving family.  Lenora was the eldest daughter of the late Carrie (Hubbard) Martin and Cager Martin.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Alexander; daughter, Crystal Alexander; sisters, Gladyce Martin, Patsy Baugh; and brother Richard Martin.  She is survived by her loving children, Geraldine Alexander, Malva Rashid, Nichelle Alexander and Wayne Alexander; grandsons, Shannon (Shauna) Alexander, Muhammad (Leslie) Rashid, Deocco, Devane, LaMarr, Landis, Lunden Alexander, and little Wayne Alexander; granddaughters, Shanice, Shamiya, and Cristin Alexander.  Eleven great- great grandchildren.  And a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2009 at 12:00 p.m., at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Chapel, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, OH 44307.  Superintendant Carven Walker, officiating.  Interment Glendale Cemetery.  Friends may call at the chapel from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Procession will form at 750 Mull Ave. (Party Room).  Condolences may be sent c/o Gerri Alexander, 750 Mull Ave., Apt. 5a, Akron, OH 44313
