Corrine Caldwell was born to Marie and Lemon Simmons on December 7, 1947. She grew up in Elizabeth City, North Carolina were she attended elementary and high school. She later moved to Rivehead, New York where she met her first husband Alva Holt.  Corrine accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and became a faithful member of mount Moriah Baptist Church under Pastor Ellison. In 2003 she retired from Suffolk State Nursing Home and moved to Akron, Ohio to be with her family.  She enjoyed going to church and being with her family.  

Corrine was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Caldwell; two sons, Raymond Simmons and Earnest, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory daughters, Angela Holt , and Christina Holt both of Akron, Donna Reddick of North Carolina, Jeanine Holt and Denise Holt both  of New York; sons, Tyrone Holt of North Carolina, Lee Caldwell of Akron and Alva Holt of New York; seventeen grand children and two great grand children; and a sister Irene, of North Carolina.
