Carol A. Waters 69, made her transition to Heaven on February 9, 2010 at Akron City Hospital surrounded by her family and friends.  She was born the second eldest of ten children on November 22, 1940, in Akron, Ohio to Charles and Lillie Bell Waters.  Carol was stricken with polio at the age of 13 but that never stopped her from doing WHATEVER she wanted to do.  She attended and graduated from East High School in 1958, she then attended Hammel Actual Business College earning an Associate Degree in Business in 1960.  She was employed by Community Action council for many year and later with the Summit County Title Bureau as a title clerk.  Carol was blessed to have one child Kenyatta, known best by Keni, whom she loved very much and it showed.  She reunited with a longtime friend, Cathleen Burgan, who introduced her to Christ in 1981 and in 1982 received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus name dedicating her life to Christ.  She attended Refuge Tabernacle where she was a choir member.  She was the personal secretary to the Late Emeritus Dr. Ruby Veal, she belonged to the

Women of Distinction  and served  on the financial board for twenty five years.  She later joined Abundant Life’s City of Refuge where she continued her labor in the Lord until the time of her death.

Carol was preceded in death by parents, Charles and  Lillie Bell Waters and brother, Charles Waters.  She leaves to cherish her loving memory daughter, Kenyatta  Carmona, of Akron, Ohio; brothers, Raymond (Gwen) Waters

Services will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Abundant Life City of Refuge, 1460 Manchester Rd., Akron, OH 44307.  District Eld. Rudy Burgan officiating.  Friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.  Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 181 Spellman Court. Akron, OH 44320.
